Police in New York have cleared out a group of Columbia University students who were staging a sit-in protest in support of Palestinians. Some of the students were detained and loaded onto buses. The protest began on Wednesday, after the university's president appeared before Congress to testify on allegations that the campus has become rife with anti-Semitism.
