Facebook executives have denied accusations the social media platform is damaging to girls' mental health, weakens democracy and sows divisions after a whistleblower's testimony to US Congress.
Former product manager Frances Haugen says Facebook should be regulated because it deliberately buried or misrepresented research that its use could be pernicious.
But Facebook's CEO Mark Zuckerberg says his company's findings have been taken out of context.
