Taiwan’s new leader has been sworn in.
President Lai Ching-te has promised to continue the policies of his predecessor Tsai Ing-Wen.
Lai Ching-te's term is also expected to be a continuation of the frosty relationship with Beijing, which has labelled the incumbent leader a ‘trouble-maker’ for refusing to accept Chinese sovereignty.
